A collection of three stories (The Gift, Three Day Wind, and The Fire Next Door) recently was awarded runner-up in Minerva Rising’s chapbook contest.  While the collection did not win the contest, the Editors had this to say to me:  “Your collection was so powerful that we felt we had to honor it in some way. Therefore, we have decided to initiate a runner-up prize and an offer to publish a piece written by you in one of  this year’s journals.”  So look for The Fire Next Door to be published in Minerva Rising Literary Journal Issue # 8 later this year.
